Summer is officially here and what better way to enjoy that summer time than with some music by the lake. Although the residents of The Reserve at Lake Keowee and The Cliffs Communities have stunning Lake Keowee, there is a (smaller) lake in Greenville that comes with free music on Thursday evenings…the Furman University Lake! Once you have finished your day of shopping and dining on Thursdays in Greenville, remember to pack a blanket or lawn chair so you can come and enjoy these concerts, which begin at 7:30pm at the Lakeside Amphitheater.
Thanks to the various sponsors, every lakeside concert is a free event. The music selection has a fun and wide variety – everything from contemporary, Jazz, and of course orchestral classics. One of the favorite upcoming events if the June 30th concert, featuring The Greenville Chorale, which will highlight songs in anticipation of Independence Day!
For more information, please visit Furman University’s website.
One last reason to check out these concerts…one person in attendance of each Thursday evening performance will receive a picnic basket filled to the brim with delicious treats to enjoy with the music!
