The Folk Art Center of Asheville, NC is hosting the Clay Fest on Saturday, June 10th. This free event is from 10am to 4pm. Here, you can see potters and ceramic artists as they display some of their techniques and talents, such as throwing, sculpting, and much more!
Even if you are unable to make the Clay Fest, the Folk Art Center is a great stop for any art lover. Come and view traditional crafts as well as contemporary art. There is also a great shop that has hundreds of artists featured so that you can own a piece of Southern Appalachian art! This stop is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 382, which is near Highway 70 and not too far from downtown Asheville.
