Our team of Upstate real estate agents love to take in all of what our local areas have to offer. From Lake Keowee and other nearby lakes, to Western North Carolina mountain towns and escapes. We love to share our favorite hot spots, events, and getaways. Down the road in our own town of Salem, is one of those special places – a bed and breakfast set on over 10 acres with some memorable owners and farm friends. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the Sunrise Farm Bed & Breakfast, a small farm that truly welcomes you in.
The Sunrise Farm B&B is set on a portion of what was once an old cotton farm. The home is an 1890 victorian with large covered porches overlooking the farm and gardens. The entire property is just a beautiful hobby farm.
Imagine yourself enjoying the gentle breeze while rocking on the large wrap-around porch. Perhaps you are reading a book, maybe enjoying the birds in the nearby trees, or perhaps taking a moment after a hike to a local waterfall? With the Blue Ridge Mountains and Lakes Keowee and Jocassee nearby, you will have plenty of things to see and do in the area!
Located just a short drive off of E Main Street and the heart of downtown Salem, the B&B is a few miles from Lake Keowee and less than 15 minutes from Devils Fork State Park on the banks of Lake Jocassee. Being on the western side of Keowee, visitors are a short drive from multiple waterfalls and trails that line the foothills of the Appalachians – like the Lee Falls Trailhead and Oconee State Park.
Within its own grounds, the farm has llamas, goats, and other farm animals that love guest attention and seasonal gardens. And no need to worry about what to do for breakfast in the morning as you will be greeted with a full breakfast of all-natural ingredients plus local produce and homemade goodies!
The property has rooms within the old farmhouse for guests, as well as private cottages. There is also a meeting room on the property, lending itself a great place for small events and gatherings.
