One of the most treasured features of our Upstate area is the Jocassee Gorges. Named as one of “50 of the World’s Last Great Places” by National Geographic, this destination is rich with wildlife and is internationally known as a diverse and unique bird habitat with falcons and even bald eagles being spotted by its waters. Each summary on Fridays June-August, Jocassee Lake Tours offers a 4 hour camp for kids ages 4-16 where they learn about the region, it’s plants and animals, and most of all, enjoy hiking and the lake.
